The first 9 pictures on this listing are all of the same meter as it is undergoing a complete rebuild due to catastrophic battery corrosion. The Ludlum factory indicated that repair on that meter would be cost prohibitive. It is now 100% functional with a durable Cerakote finish on the upper housing at a fraction of the cost for a new one!

This listing is for a basic repair of your non-functional Ludlum detector for corroded battery terminals. Severe corrosion and/or cosmetic restoration will be an additional cost at your option.  

You will have to send your meter in for this service (Houston TX area)! If your unit requires extensive repair, you will be immediately notified of the total estimated cost. If you decline, your meter will be returned to you with only shipping charged. 

If you have a unit with corroded battery terminals and/or intermittent function, in most cases, the FULL function can be restored. There may be slight cosmetic issues that remain in the battery compartment due to excessive corrosion. 

For an additional cost, your unit can be completely stripped, blasted, and re-coated. If you have the older slide latch on the battery door, those units can also be repaired but the housings cannot be stripped and recoated due to the markings being silkscreened onto the unit. Also, some of the older versions of newer style with the twist knob battery door were also silk screened but the modern decal-style labels will be installed to replace the markings without any issues. 

Turn around time for a basic repair is about 1 week from time of arrival.

This evaluation and repair service will cover any minor issues. Anything requiring significant work or difficult battery extraction will be quoted. Most units can be salvaged for far less than the cost of a new meter!

All of the meters shown in this listing have been refurbished and sold without issues.

If your meter is extensively damaged or cannot be salvaged, you will be immediately contacted with options before moving forward.

This service is for ALL ludlum units. Such as: Model 3, Model 12, Model 14C, Model 2241, etc. If your device takes D batteries, this service will cover an evaluation and minor repair.

All repairs performed will be guaranteed for 1 year!

Other services such as NIST pulse calibration or dose rate calibration are available for additional charges. Your meter will be tested after repair to verify functionality but it will not be adjusted without request.
