This listing is for a complete professional rebuild, restoration, and cosmetic refinishing service for Ludlum 44-2 NaI(Tl) gamma scintillation probes. Your existing probe is sent in, fully rebuilt, performance-verified, refinished, and returned to you.

A new NaI crystal -OR- replacement photo multiplier is included at this price.

-Service Scope And What Is Included-

Each Ludlum 44-2 probe receives the following:

Incoming Inspection & Documentation

• Full visual inspection upon receipt

• Electrical evaluation and performance verification as received

• Incoming condition and baseline performance documented

Complete Disassembly & Evaluation

• Full teardown of the probe assembly

• Removal of existing finish and labels

• Original serial number retained upon request (and only if label is salvageable)

• Internal condition assessed and documented

Component Replacement (Included):

This service includes replacement of either the NaI(Tl) crystal (1 inch x 1 inch) OR the photomultiplier tube (PMT) as required based on incoming condition and performance.

If inspection determines that both the crystal and PMT require replacement, you will be contacted prior to any additional work. Replacement of both components is an additional charge and will not be performed without approval.

Rebuild & Restoration Process

Housing Refinish

• Probe housing fully stripped and refinished using Cerakote ceramic coating

• Standard finish color is shown in the listing photos and is a nice slightly contrasting shade

• Optional custom colors available upon request for a small additional charge (Photos shown are representative of finish quality and color. The meter and any additional equipment shown in photos are for illustration only and are not included with this service.)

Internal Rebuild

• Replacement crystal or PMT installed as required

• Internal wiring, insulation, and assembly restored as needed

• Internal padding replaced as needed

• Probe fully reassembled and relabeled

Final Electrical Testing & Documentation

• Probe electrically verified and performance checked

• Final response documented

• You will receive a multi-page performance report documenting the operating characteristics of your specific probe after repair

Warranty & Performance Guarantee

Each serviced probe includes a 1-year performance warranty.

• The probe is guaranteed to remain within ±15 percent of the documented CPM response at time of shipment

• Warranty covers workmanship and component failure under normal use

• Warranty does not cover physical damage, impacts, liquid intrusion, misuse, or abuse
