1x NEW Battery Compartment Lid Seal for LUDLUM Mdl: 3, 12, 14C, 2241 and Similar

This listing is for 1x new battery compartment lid seal. It will not "melt" like the original one.

If you have a Ludlum with a degraded or failed battery seal as shown in the 2nd picture, this is a seal what will replace that. You simply remove the old seal and clean the cavity and install this replacement. If you remove the handle, it may be easier to access the groove on the lid. 

This will fit all newer ludlum units with this style lid. Such as: Model 3, Model 12, Model 14C, Model 2241, etc. If your device takes 2x D batteries and has a groove in the battery lid as shown in the pictures, this seal should drop right in. 

When removing the old seal, sometimes a small amount or isopropyl alcohol or similar solvent may be needed to fully remove the old seal and adhesive. The new seal will come with installation instructions.

Please note that Ludlum claims these units are "water resistant" and NOT water-proof when new. This seal kit should restore water resistance to the device if installed properly. However it will not allow you to submerge the device in water and expect it to stay dry internally!
