Each probe is completely rebuilt prior to sale using an original OEM Ludlum Measurements, Inc. housing and professionally selected internal components.

Every unit includes:

These are not surplus pulls or unverified detectors. Each probe is stripped, rebuilt, configured, and tested to meet professional survey and laboratory expectations.

Performance Verification & Documentation Included

Each probe is plateaued in 25V increments from 300V to 1500V using a calibrated scaler.

Testing is performed:

• Against background radiation
• With a Cs reference source

From this data, the knee of the plateau is identified and verified for stable response. The recommended operating voltage is selected in accordance with Ludlum guidance and is clearly labeled on the probe.

Each probe includes a multi-page performance report specific to the exact unit you receive.

Detector Overview

This probe delivers performance equivalent to a Ludlum 44-2. It is utilizing a 1 inch x 1 inch NaI scintillation detector coupled to a photomultiplier tube for efficient gamma detection.

Construction & Finish

Each probe housing is:

• Fully stripped
• Media blasted
• Finished with baked-on Cerakote ceramic coating
• Reassembled with new internal components

These are complete rebuilds, not cosmetic touch-ups.

Mechanical Revision Notice

Ludlum has produced multiple mechanical revisions of this probe housing over time. Minor differences in cap style, body length, or connector mounting may exist between units. These variations do not affect compatibility or performance.

If matching external configuration is critical, please contact us before ordering.

Warranty & Professional Support

Each probe is guaranteed to be fully functional and free of defects for one year from delivery.

Warranty does not cover:

• Physical damage
• Abuse or mishandling
• Damage to the scintillator or photomultiplier tube due to dropping

These are precision radiation detectors and should be handled accordingly.

Repair services are available if needed.
