This listing is for one Thermo Scientific RadEye PRD Personal Radiation Detector with current independent third party calibration.
This is the standard RadEye PRD model. It is a compact gamma/photon personal radiation detector designed for high sensitivity source detection, count rate monitoring, dose rate measurement, and accumulated dose tracking.
This unit is currently configured in R based units, but it can be switched to Sv based units upon request before shipment.
Calibration
This instrument was professionally calibrated by an independent third party radiation measuring instrument calibration provider.
The calibration provider specializes in radiation detection and measuring equipment calibration and is licensed by the state for this type of work.
Calibration was performed using standards with current NIST traceability. The calibration certificate is included with the instrument and reflects the current calibration status of this exact unit.
The calibration documentation includes the instrument information, serial number, calibration date, calibration results, and supporting traceability information.
User Configuration Access
All user configuration menus are unlocked and accessible.
This has been verified prior to listing. The unit is not locked down with restricted user menus, which is common on some surplus or agency issued units where settings were protected to prevent unauthorized changes.
Accessible configuration menus allow the user to review and adjust normal user settings such as display units, alarm thresholds, response behavior, operating modes, and other configurable options as supported by the instrument.
