This listing is for 1 (one) Ludlum Model 14C portable survey meter supplied with a Ludlum 44-9 thin-window pancake scintillation detector and a hard carrying case. The unit you will receive here will be sent for 3rd party calibration at the time of ordering. The Model 14C is functionally similar to the Ludlum Model 3 but includes an additional internal high-range GM tube. This expanded internal detector capability allows the Model 14C to cover a wider range of radiation levels while retaining the familiar operation and durability of the Model 3.

When paired with the 44-9 pancake detector, this configuration is widely used for contamination surveys, surface scanning, and general radiation safety work where sensitivity to Alpha, Beta, and Gamma radiation is required. It is commonly used in industrial, laboratory, environmental, and NORM-related screening applications, particularly where both low-level contamination detection and higher-range survey capability are desired.

The Ludlum Model 14C maintains the same rugged analog design and intuitive needle response as the Model 3, with the added benefit of the internal high-range tube automatically extending the usable measurement range.

Calibration is performed using standards with current NIST traceability, and full supporting documentation is included.
