This is a Ludlum 500 pulser. This is used for verifying displayed pulse rate on radiation meters. 

This unit was tested against a Ludlum 2200 scaler with a current Ludlum calibration (at time of testing). The unit was tested through all ranges and all displays were found to agree with what was shown on the scaler.

The picture of the calibration decal in the listing is from the scaler and NOT the pulser.
