This listing is for a Ludlum Model 3 radiation survey meter paired with a Ludlum 43-65 alpha scintillation probe. This is a professional alpha detection setup intended for alpha contamination surveys and similar applications where an alpha sensitive probe is required.

These are used instruments. We choose the best available units from inventory when assembling these sets, but they may show normal signs of use including scratches, scuffs, small dings, worn labels, or other cosmetic wear. The unit shown in the pictures is representative of the type and condition of the set you will receive.

🔹 Testing, Setup, and Documentation:

The Ludlum 43-65 alpha probe was digitally plateaued and verified for proper operation.

The probe was also tested for light rejection, beta rejection, and gamma rejection.

The Ludlum Model 3 meter was then set up to match the operating properties of the probe.

The meter was calibrated and adjusted using a Ludlum Model 500 pulse verification tool.

The Ludlum Model 500 used for verification has current NIST traceable calibration.

Paperwork documenting the testing and setup will be included with the unit.

There are several of these available. The unit in the pictures is similar to the unit you will receive.

These are used instruments and may show normal cosmetic wear from previous use. We make every effort to assemble these sets using clean, reliable, fully functional units from available inventory.

This unit includes a 1 year functional warranty from the date of delivery.

The warranty covers functional failure of the meter or probe under normal use.

The warranty does not cover abuse, impact damage, moisture damage, contamination, battery leakage, punctures, tears, holes in the probe window, or similar physical damage. Alpha probe windows are delicate and must be handled carefully.
