1x Battery Compartment Lid Nut for LUDLUM Mdl: 3, 12, 14C, 2241 and Similar

This listing is for 1x new battery compartment lid nut.

If you have a Ludlum meter with a missing, tight, or failed female "nut" for the battery lid, this is the replacement socket for that situation. This is ONLY the part that goes INSIDE the meter body! This is NOT for the actual knob and male portion that you twist to lock the battery lid. The 2nd picture is of a meter with this nut replaced. 

This will fit all newer ludlum units with this style lid. Such as: Model 3, Model 12, Model 14C, Model 2241, etc. If your device takes 2x D batteries and has the battery lid latch as shown in the pictures, this nut is the part in the housing that mates with the stud on the battery lid.  

This nut is pressed in from the back and can be installed with a bench vise or similar. It is NOT advised to use a hammer for installation. The part will come with installation instructions. Due to the way this part is retained in the Al housing, if the opening is out of tolerance, it may be necessary to use a small amount of 2-part epoxy on the nut to help retain it (this situation also be addressed in the included instructions).
